A slip on the snowy sidewalk, in winter, is a SMALL thing. It happens to millions. A fall from a ladder, in the summer, is a SMALL thing. That also happens to millions. The slip or fall produces a subluxation. The subluxation is a SMALL thing. The subluxation produces pressure on a nerve. That pressure is a SMALL thing. The pressure cuts off the flow of mental impulses. That decreased flowing is a SMALL thing. That decreased flowing produces a dis-eased body and brain. That is a BIG thing to that man. Multiply that sick man by a thousand, and you control the physical and mental welfare of a city. Multiply that man by a million and you shape the physical and mental destiny of a State. Multiply that man by one hundred thirty million, and you forecast and can prophesy the physical and mental status of a nation.
Now comes a man. Any one man is a SMALL thing. This man gives an adjustment. The adjustment is a SMALL thing. The adjustment replaces the subluxation. That is a SMALL thing. The adjusted subluxation releases pressure upon nerves. That is a SMALL thing. The released pressure restores health to a man. That is a BIG thing to that man. Multiply that well man by a thousand, and you step up physical and mental welfare of a city. Multiply that well man by a million, and you increase the efficiency of a State. Multiply that well man by one hundred thirty million, and you have produced a healthy, wealthy, and a better nation. So adjustment of the subluxation, to release pressure upon nerves, to restore mental impulse flow, to restore health, is BIG enough to rebuild thoughts and actions of the world.
The idea that knows cause, that can correct cause of dis-ease, is one of the biggest ideas known. Without it, nations fall; with it, nations rise.
The idea is the BIGGEST I know of.

There is an old saying, success is a two-edged sword. It is especially true in the entertainment industry. Many an actor has lamented over being “type cast.” As much as he or she might want to play more serious roles, if the public sees the person as a comedian, a serious part might be hard to get. Some actors are okay with that. They resign themselves to playing the part that the public expects of them and if they do it well, they will probably make a good living. Yet, I cannot help but think that deep down inside, they suffer some feeling of frustration or unfulfillment. When it comes down to it, there are probably millions of people in all walks of life in the same situation. The person who is a successful corporate executive who yearns to have his own business. There are many stories of people who gave up successful careers because all their life they wanted to be an artist, a musician, or a farmer or to drive an 18-wheeler across the country.
There is no doubt that chiropractic has achieved a level of success. It has been estimated that as many as 68% of the public have been to a chiropractor. The medical profession has begun to acknowledge the value of chiropractic. We have “arrived” as part of mainstream health care. But you know what? Many chiropractors feel unfulfilled. You see chiropractic has been “type cast” as a treatment for bad backs and stiff necks. The public, for the most part, thinks chiropractors are doctors who take care of musculoskeletal problems and there is good reason for that perception. Millions of people with those types of problems have been helped by chiropractic, many of whom were unable to receive relief anywhere else. Chiropractic can help musculoskeletal conditions. Consequently, the medical community and even some in our own profession want us to fill that niche. They figure the public knows us in that role and we have achieved success in that role. Why disturb the status quo?
Many in our profession, however, are not satisfied with that role. It is not that we think we can do more, and it is not that there is anything demeaning about helping people with bad backs. It is just that chiropractic is so much more. Chiropractic is not about your back, it’s about your life. The correction of vertebral subluxation to restore the integrity of the nerve system is a service vital to every man woman and child on the planet. Every function, every activity, every aspect of one’s life is improved and enhanced by having regular chiropractic adjustments, keeping the nerve channels open to all parts of the body. A chiropractor who understands that and the importance of that service, would feel unfulfilled even as the most successful back doctor in the world.
Chiropractic, like the “type cast” comedian is a victim of its success. But more important, the public is a victim of that success. The only way to change that is to change people’s perception. That will take effort by the profession and by people who know chiropractic is not about your bad back, it is about getting more out of life and expressing more of life. Help your chiropractor by telling someone the truth about chiropractic.

Skeptics of chiropractic question how chiropractic can help the immune system in the absence of scientific studies. One could also question how physicians for the last 100 years could say to drink fluids and rest if you have the flu. Does fluid drown bacteria? Does lying down cause a virus to die? Of course not. Clearly rest and fluids do not affect microorganisms. They are intended to help the sick person’s body, specifically his or her immune system. This helps the body fight microorganisms and their effect. Doctors have found through common sense and experience that the ability to fight off microorganisms (the immune system) is improved by resting and drinking fluids. No one had to do studies. It is a self-evident fact. (Actually, when you are sick you really do not feel like doing anything else but lying down. That is the innate intelligence of your body saying “rest”). No one is about to suggest that doctors stop making that recommendation until a Harvard Medical School research program can be completed in which 1,000 people with the flu will be allowed to drink fluids and rest and 1,000 others with the flu will be made to walk around while deprived of fluids.
Chiropractic is based upon the same logic. If there is an interference in the nerve system, the immune system, which is intricately linked to it, will not function properly or at least not as well as it should. If you shut down the nerve system completely (death), the immune system will not work at all. Therefore, if you interfere with its function, the immune system will work at less than 100%. It is not necessary to do studies. It would be ridiculous to demand that physicians do the study outlined above to prove the validity of rest and fluids for the flu. It is just as ridiculous to do research to prove that chiropractic helps the immune system work better. It is a self-evident fact. If the nerve system works better, every system in the body works better, including the immune system. Notice that chiropractors do not claim that chiropractic cures the flu, the common cold or anything else. We just maintain that if there is an interference in the nerve system, the immune system will not work as well as it should and if that interference is removed, the immune system will work better. How much better? Well, we do not know. But then we really do not know how much benefit fluid and rest are for the immune system. All these individually or together could be the difference between getting well from the flu or not. The point is that we just do not know. There are a lot of things about health, the human body, proper function, and human potential that we do not know. In fact, there is probably more we do not know than what we do know. That is one of the beautiful things about chiropractic. We do not have to wait until we have proven data from research studies. We can know that chiropractic is good based on logic, common sense, and self-evident facts. That is how physicians knew that rest and liquids help people fight the flu. That is how we know chiropractic will enable the immune system and every other system in the body, for that matter, to work better.

Chiropractic patients are divided into two general categories. The first category includes many patients who utilize chiropractic to enable their bodies to work better so that they might heal themselves of some condition or symptom. They understand that the chiropractor is not treating the condition or attempting to alleviate the symptom but that if he or she can correct the vertebral subluxation, the body will have greater capacity to heal itself. They come in to have their subluxations corrected and find that their bodies work at a higher level, quite often high enough to get well of the physical problems they had when they arrived. Thousands of people have had their health restored because when nerve interference is removed at the vertebral level, the principle that heals and runs the billions upon billions of cells in the body is free to work a little better. Sadly though, many of these people do not fully utilize chiropractic care.
The second group of people realize that the same principle that enables the body to get well can also keep it well. They do not use chiropractic care merely as a way of regaining their health but as part of an overall health-maintenance program. They come regularly whether they feel good or not. They know that being adjusted will enable them to express more life in numerous ways, some we cannot even imagine. We do know that you can have more energy, better coordination, more flexibility, a greater ability to handle stress, and a greater benefit from the food, exercise, and sleep that you get. All of this from regular adjustments? Absolutely! Which of the above is not affected by your nervous system? Logically, a better nervous system, one free of interference, must help accomplish all the above. How much benefit depends upon you, but everyone will have a better functioning body with a good nerve supply. Not only do these people come regularly but they also bring their families in and refer friends and relatives for chiropractic care. They know that it is far better to get someone under care while they are still healthy than to wait until they manifest the symptoms of a lack of health. They want everyone to experience some of the benefits listed above.
As a health care facility, our desire is to see primarily the second category of patients. We obviously would not turn away a patient with a medical condition who wanted his or her subluxations corrected so that their body had a greater potential for healing. Everyone needs chiropractic care; people with medical conditions of any kind need regular adjustments as much as people with no medical problems, even if they need medical care at the same time. What we really desire is to see hundreds of people who are concerned enough about their health to come in regularly with their families to receive adjustments and stay healthy. We hope that it is your desire to be one of these types of people. If there is ever something about chiropractic health care that you do not understand, please ask us. It is our desire and pleasure to make you aware of all the benefits of being subluxation free.

Chiropractors have been talking for years about the fact that physical, chemical, and emotional stresses can cause the spine to subluxate and interfere with proper function in the body. People have no problem understanding how physical stress, such as falling, lifting, or repeated motions, can cause subluxations. While chemical stresses may be a little more difficult to understand, after a little explanation people see how chemicals and poisons in the body affect the spinal musculature and can also cause the spine to subluxate. Today, more than ever, we are hearing about the effect that emotional stress can have on the body. People understand the link between emotional stress and ulcers, heart disease and headaches. Similarly, emotional stress can result in subluxation. There are probably a number of mechanisms, but research done at Ohio State University has recently demonstrated some interesting results.
A group of college students repeatedly lifted 25-pound boxes while a special measuring device calculated the pressure on the students’ spines. During the first half of the experiment researchers offered words of encouragement to the participants while they were performing their tasks. In the second half of the experiment, the students were criticized, sort of like having your boss yelling at you while you are doing your job. While some of the students were not bothered at all, others, particularly introverted students who did not handle criticism well and who dislike repetitive work to start with, demonstrated an almost 27% increase in pressure on the spine. Clearly, a 27% increase of pressure on the spine could subluxate a person. William Marras, professor of industrial engineering at OSU said, “What this shows is that there is a body-mind interaction that manifests itself as pressure on the spine.” Of course, if a person is already subluxated, then the spine is weakened, and this stress can have even greater repercussions. The researchers were limiting their research to job-related pressure, but they concluded that the same findings could occur “anywhere exertion and stress combine.” That could be the pressure of athletic competition or even non-physical stressful situations like talking on the phone with the head titled at an angle, sitting at a computer, or any kind of repetitive work while experiencing the pressures of your job.
Except for major physical traumas, it is likely that almost all subluxations occur because of a combination of physical, chemical, and emotional stresses upon the body. Clearly, if you are subluxation free you will be better able to withstand those forces. Yet, in this stressful world even the strongest spines will subluxate given certain circumstances. That is why it is important to keep your spine adjusted, so that you can withstand stress and so that when it does cause a subluxation, it can be corrected as quickly as possible. See your chiropractor regularly.

We often hear how life expectancy is increasing and how fortunate we are compared with those who were born hundreds of years ago. As with all statistics, the figures that we hear are not necessarily an accurate description of reality. In this particular case, it is true that expectancy has increased over the centuries, however it is not necessarily related to an overall increase in health. Decreases in both accidental deaths and deaths related to childbirth (both mother and child) factor heavily into these statistics. Undoubtedly, improved living conditions and prenatal care have also greatly affected these statistics. For every child who dies in childbirth another person must live to be 100 to create a life expectancy of 50!
While life expectancy is increasing, I am not sure that the increase is significant or that it reflects the fact that we are healthier people. In 1900, the life expectancy was 47 years. In 1950 it had risen to 68 years. That seems like a pretty good jump, 21 years in half a century. Of course, during that time great strides in sanitation and prenatal care occurred. Not many people had pure water or even flush toilets in 1900 but by 1950 almost everyone did. In 1900 most people were born at home and complications in birth were far more likely to result in the death of the infant. By 1950, most births occurred in hospitals. These two factors alone could account for the increase of 21 years.
The average life expectancy today is 75 years. If you do the math, you find that life expectancy increased 21 years in the first half of the 20th century and only 7 years in the second half. This is a little disconcerting since there have been significantly more scientific breakthroughs in the last 50 years than in the first part of the century. In addition to so-called breakthroughs in science and medicine, we have also seen the development of numerous safety products to reduce the number of accidental deaths including air bags, smoke detectors and helmets. Additionally, the transition from an industrial nation to an informational one in the past 50 years has reduced the number of deaths associated with industrial accidents. The way the government places power in the hands of agencies like OSHA, one would think they alone are responsible for the 7-year increase in life expectancy. What is more, greater numbers of people are adopting a healthier lifestyle. Smoking has decreased significantly in this country and record numbers of people are going to fitness centers.
This brings us to the frightening conclusion that medical science has not really had a significant impact on life expectancy. More money has been spent on research to find cures for disease in the last 50 years than all of human history from Adam until 1950. It seems we should have more to show for it than a 7-year increase. The fact is all the attention focused at addressing disease has probably not added one year to the life expectancy of the average American. All the drugs that have been discovered and all the surgical procedures that have been done have not increased our life span for one simple reason. We can research and fight disease as much as we want but until we begin to focus on health and its cause, we are not going to create healthier people and without healthier people, life span will never increase.
Chiropractic is not an approach to disease. It has an objective of enabling the body to work at its maximum potential. In so doing the body has a greater ability to adapt to the stresses of life. More benefit can be gained from nutrition and exercise. Resistance is higher to fight off disease, natural resistance, not the kind that is brought about by ingesting drugs into the body, drugs with harmful side effects.
Do not be fooled into thinking that these little increases in life expectancy are some major achievements. The fact is the beauty and perfection of the human body suggests we should live twice if we do. Begin to explore true changes to your ability to be well, including regular chiropractic care, so you can bring about great leaps in longevity for yourself and all your loved ones.

Chiropractic is a deductive science; we make deductions based on the premise that life is intelligent. This intelligence created all matter, manages and organises everything in the universe. This is the concept that Chiropractic refers to as Universal Intelligence.
Universal Intelligence is the natural forces of our world, which can be destructive (think of earthquakes, floods, and hurricanes). Look at everything around you, it would not make sense to assume that everything around you was created at random or out of ‘luck’ - for example, the earth is the perfect distance from the sun for us to not burn, we have oxygen to breathe and plant roots grow downwards into the ground (where they find water and nutrients).
A part of this universal intelligence is our Innate Intelligence. Innate Intelligence exists in all living things, it is the invisible force that connects and balances everything in our bodies. You do not have to think about your heart beating or digesting your food, these processes are performed thanks to our Innate Intelligence. This force will always do everything in its power to keep us alive (it is constructive). Such as, when we experience hypothermia our bodies will direct the blood flow from our arms and legs to the vital organs such as our heart, to keep us alive as long as possible.
Chiropractors look for interference in your Innate Intelligence and remove it so that it is as resilient as possible to be able to adapt to the destructive forces of Universal Intelligence.

Performance can be defined as the degree to which anything functions as intended. When it comes to one’s performance as a human being (human performance) many factors are involved. Unfortunately, in today’s busy society with so many factors, most people are looking for a quick fix or a shortcut. Naturally then, when the average person is looking to improve their performance in any aspect of life, they tend to seek out the single key factor for the best results.
So what is the single most important aspect in improving or maintaining a high level of performance in any aspect of your life? Factors such as adequate exercise, good nutrition, a positive mental attitude, and a good nerve supply are all very important. But which one is the key to better performance?
The truth is, none of them is the answer, but here is the answer:
The key to better performance is commitment. What good is exercise if you don't commit to doing it regularly? How much value is nutritious food when it is only talked about and you do not take the time to properly prepare it? If you just consider having a positive attitude, you might end up depressed. Simply agreeing with your chiropractor that it's a good idea to have a good nerve supply just doesn't get it done.
Done sparingly, all of these measures are positive. Exercising only on the weekends is better than doing nothing at all. Some good nutrition is better than eating junk food all the time. Being positive only when things are going your way is probably better than being negative all the time. Having your spine adjusted once a year is better than never.
However, making and following through on a commitment to improve your life is what really brings about better human performance. Sure, it may take more time and cost some money, but aren't you worth it?
Your chiropractor is committed to helping you improve your performance by having a good nerve supply by correcting vertebral subluxations. That is the area in which he/she is an expert and can help you.
You need to commit to it to get the most from chiropractic, just like anything else. Everything in your chiropractor's office, from office hours to the fee system, has been carefully thought out to make fulfilling your commitment much easier.

When nerve interference is removed from your body, the body works better. That means your internal resistance is higher. Does that mean that when a person coughs in your face, you will not get a cold, or you will just get a cold instead of the flu? Perhaps. If your nervous system is working at greater efficiency, will that make you think better, concentrate better, or be more effective in your work? Perhaps! To what degree we cannot say. It may be noticeable or it may not. Everyone is different. Yet clearly it will make a difference.
It is like exercising. You do not necessarily see a reduction in your waistline or bigger muscles after the first day of an exercise program but you know there is a change in your body. Often you can feel the change in the form of soreness or stiffness. The next time you exercise and you do not feel it, does that mean there has been no change?
We really cannot perceive all of the positive things that are happening in our bodies when we receive an adjustment. There are positive changes taking place on the cellular level. Life-giving energy is being restored to starved and depleted cells. You cannot measure the value of that. Conversely, we really cannot know the damage being done by a vertebral subluxation that cuts off the nerve supply to the tissues and cells in your body. It is robbing the quality and quantity of your life.
What is the value of children receiving chiropractic care at the earliest possible age? Again we may not be able to measure it because every child’s potential is different. However, early and regular adjustments definitely enable them to move closer to their fullest potential. What is the value of chiropractic care? Sometimes we believe we can know it because of an immediate change or because a long-standing problem is resolved after getting under care. I would suggest that is only the tip of the iceberg. That is only a small part of the benefit of getting chiropractic adjustments on a regular basis.
We really cannot know what microscopic effects are taking place. We really cannot know what immeasurable effects are occurring like higher resistance and improved physical, mental, and emotional function. Chiropractic care is one of those things of which you just cannot know the value.

Have you ever noticed how some words just have a negative or bad sound to them? “Disintegration” is one. Even though it means, simply, to break into small bits, we rarely see it used in a positive way.
Sometimes it is used to describe an organisation, company, or even a relationship that is “falling apart.” Even in science fiction movies, we have seen aliens shot with a gun that breaks it up into bits and leaves nothing but a small pile of dust. Did you ever think about the fact that our bodies are really nothing more than that small pile of dust? What makes them appear like and act like more than dust? The fact is that they are INTEGRATED. All those molecules form cells, tissues, organs, and systems. The body is acting as a whole. When the body stops acting as a whole, it loses its integrity. We even use terms to describe this situation like, “I feel like I’m falling apart” or “my body’s falling apart.” The body in actuality is not falling apart as much as it is breaking apart.
What is it that keeps us whole and maintains our physical integrity? It is what chiropractors call the “innate intelligence” of the body. This principle controls, integrates, and coordinates the function of billions of cells every minute. Thousands of chemical reactions occur simultaneously at just the right instant to carry on every function of the body. All these functions are integrated without any thought on our part. To accomplish this task a complex coordinating system is needed. In the human organism, this system is the nervous system. It integrates all these functions and probably many others about which we currently know nothing. However, for the nervous system to function as it should, its integrity needs to be maintained.
When a vertebra in the spine becomes subluxated, the integrity of the nervous system is compromised. The result of this is that the cells that the nerves supply can no longer work in an integrated manner. The entire body is affected by this because every cell is dependent upon every other cell for the well-being of the whole. That’s what integration is. It is 25-30 quadrillion cells working together in harmony for a single goal, to keep you alive and healthy. That was the weakness of the attempts at racial integration in this country. We tried to integrate the races without replacing the hatred, animosity, and resentment with love, respect, and a desire to work together for the good of the whole. The human body is integrated, each cell working for the good of the whole under the direction of the body’s innate intelligence, which utilises the nervous system to control and coordinate all the parts.
Vertebral subluxation interferes with the function of the nervous system and thereby causes the body to begin to disintegrate. Unfortunately, we do not often notice this disintegration right away. Just like in companies, organisations, or relationships, the disintegration may not be obvious at first. If it was, perhaps we would be more likely to address it. That is the purpose of regular chiropractic adjustments, to maintain the integrity of the nervous system so that all the cells of the body will be integrated thereby successfully preventing any disintegration.

Meet John, a hardworking guy who, like many of us, pushes his body every day without thinking much about it. One afternoon, while lifting a heavy box, he suddenly felt a sharp pain in his lower back. It wasn’t just soreness; something felt wrong.
What happened to John? The muscles in his back were overloaded, causing tiny tears in the muscle fibers. Damaged cells need to be replaced and repaired, but how does this process happen?
The answer lies in the wisdom of the body. When an area is injured, like John's back, the brain springs into action, communicating with the injured muscles through the nervous system. This connection allows the body to repair itself. The brain sends signals to replace the damaged cells with new, healthy ones, allowing the muscles to heal over time. This process doesn’t happen overnight—it takes time for the body to regenerate and restore itself.
And this is how anything in the body heals. Whether it’s a cut on your finger, a bruised knee, or a pulled muscle, the brain and nervous system coordinate the repair work. The body is designed with an innate ability to heal—but unless the communication between the brain and the body is clear, the body won’t heal.
Here’s where chiropractic comes in. The nervous system, housed and protected by the spine, plays a central role in coordinating this healing process. When the spine is in alignment, the brain’s communication with the body flows smoothly. However, if misalignments occur, they can interfere with this connection, slowing down or even blocking the healing process.
By restoring proper spinal alignment through chiropractic care, the body can heal more efficiently, helping people like John recover faster and more completely. Chiropractic doesn’t treat the back pain directly—it ensures that the body can work at its highest potential to heal itself, just as nature intended.
The power that made the body heals the body. Chiropractic simply removes the interference, ensuring clear communication so that this innate potential can thrive.
-
Our bodies are designed to heal and recover, but how well they do this depends on the balance within our nervous system. One way to measure this balance is through Heart Rate Variability (HRV), a powerful indicator of how resilient and adaptable our body is to stress.
HRV reflects the communication between your brain and body. A higher HRV indicates that your body is in a state of ease, ready to adapt and recover. A lower HRV can signal that your body is under stress, struggling to find balance.
Regular chiropractic care plays a crucial role in optimizing this balance. By ensuring that the spine is aligned, chiropractic care removes interference in the nervous system, allowing the innate intelligence within your body to flow freely. This improved communication enhances your HRV, meaning your body is better equipped to handle stress, recover from physical exertion, and maintain overall well-being.
In essence, chiropractic care doesn't just focus on pain relief—it supports your body's natural ability to heal, adapt, and thrive. When your nervous system functions at its best, so does the rest of you.
-
Your body is a masterful network of communication, where the brain and nervous system coordinate the production and balance of chemicals necessary for your health and well-being. One key example is melatonin, the chemical that helps regulate your sleep-wake cycle. Your body needs melatonin to signal that it’s time to sleep, ensuring you get the rest you need to function optimally.
This intricate system relies on clear and uninterrupted pathways to ensure that every cell, tissue, and organ receives the right signals. When vertebral subluxations occur, they can interfere with this vital communication. These misalignments may disrupt the flow of messages between your brain and the rest of your body, potentially affecting how your body produces and regulates chemicals like melatonin.
But here’s the key: chiropractic care is about more than just adjusting the spine. It’s about removing these interferences, allowing your body’s innate intelligence to function as it was designed to. By aligning your spine, you’re not just improving physical structure—you’re supporting the natural processes, like melatonin production, that keep your body balanced and thriving.
Removing subluxations isn’t about treating a specific issue; it’s about ensuring your body’s communication lines are open and clear, so it can produce and regulate essential chemicals as intended.
-
Regular exercise is crucial for optimal health and well-being. Even insurance companies and businesses recognize this, offering incentives and facilities to encourage people to stay active. They understand that a healthy body leads to fewer sick days and more productive, focused employees. The connection between physical and mental health is undeniable—just as exercise benefits the heart, it also boosts brain function.
If exercise can reduce the risk of a heart attack, it can also help you stay mentally sharp throughout the day, enhancing your job performance. But to get the most out of your exercise, you need more than just motivation—you need a well-functioning nervous system, and that's where chiropractic care comes in.
Chiropractic adjustments remove interference in the nerve system, helping your body function better and giving you the energy needed to start and maintain a regular exercise routine. Chiropractic care also deepens your understanding of how your body works, motivating you to take better care of it.
Beyond motivation, chiropractic care ensures that your body benefits fully from exercise. To maximize the effects of your workouts, your muscles need a strong nerve supply. Without it, even the most intense exercise won’t yield the best results. Just as a paralyzed muscle can't benefit from exercise, a muscle impacted by subluxations won't reach its full potential.
If you're going to invest time and energy into exercising, make sure your body is getting all it can from it. Regular chiropractic adjustments keep your spine free of vertebral subluxations, ensuring that your muscles and body can perform at their best.
-
Did you know there are over 22,000 human disease groups, including at least 10,000 rare diseases? Most doctors focus on diagnosing these, but they only know the common ones. With so many diseases having similar symptoms, can any doctor diagnose them all?
Even with the best tools, some top diagnostic centers are estimated to be wrong almost 70% of the time. Hopefully, AI and other technologies will help improve accuracy.
That's why it's crucial to focus on what makes your body function better: healthy eating, proper exercise, and good rest. Regular chiropractic care is even easier. You're either subluxated and need an adjustment, or you're not. Chiropractors handle the rest, checking and adjusting your spine.
When your nerve system is free from vertebral subluxation, your body's innate intelligence can function optimally, helping you achieve your best health!
-
Did you ever stop to think you’re a genius? Your body performs incredible feats daily. Your heart pumps 7,950 liters of blood through 100,000 kilometers of vessels every day. Every second, 8 million red blood cells are produced. Nerves send impulses at up to 523 kilometers per hour. You breathe half a liter of air 17 times a minute, taking in about 296 million liters over a lifetime. Your brain stores an estimated 2.5 petabytes (2,500 terabytes) of information over 70 years.
You do all this because of your body's innate intelligence, which works 24/7. The brain and spinal cord communicate through nerves to keep everything balanced. The spine protects this delicate nerve network, ensuring your body functions optimally.
A healthy, flexible spine is essential for overall well-being. Spinal interference blocks life energy, leading to health issues. Chiropractors detect and correct these interferences (subluxations), helping you live a more energetic and healthy life. Regular spinal checks allow the genius within you to thrive.
-
Your body is more than just a collection of muscles, bones, and organs—it's a self-regulating, self-healing masterpiece! The same innate power that created your body from two cells is the same power that heals it every single day.
Our body was designed to heal itself—it’s a natural, innate process! But when subluxations disrupt the communication between the brain and body, this healing power is limited. Chiropractic care removes these interferences, allowing your body to heal itself from the inside out.
When your nervous system is clear of subluxations, your body can function and heal as it was designed to. Trust the power that made the body to heal the body. Chiropractic care is about allowing that power to flow freely, removing any interference caused by subluxations. When the nervous system is in harmony, your body can heal the way it was designed to.
Let your body do what it was made to do: HEAL.

There is a Universal Intelligence in all matter, which continuously gives to it all its properties and actions, thus maintaining it in existence.

The expression of this intelligence through matter is the Chiropractic meaning of life.
Anything we can physically see, or touch consists of matter, for example a table is made up of matter, all matter is made up of molecular structures called atoms which vibrate at certain speeds. The faster the atoms move the more fluid the matter becomes, the slower they move the more solid the matter becomes. For example, water or H₂O – 2 x hydrogen atoms and 1 x oxygen atom, when frozen vibrates at a low speed, so low that it becomes solid. Whereas, when it is boiled it bubbles and moves faster, so fast that it evaporates.
Just like everything else, the human body is made up of matter. This matter can vibrate fast or slow depending on our physical state, when you are tired or sick you are vibrating at a lower frequency. This can be seen and felt, when you are sick you look different, you look like your energy is lower because it is. The longer we stay in this state, the more sick we become, until eventually the matter cannot adapt and will stop moving completely – meaning you die. The difference between life and death, is the expression of our vibration, the higher you are vibrating the more alive you are, the slower you are vibrating, the less alive you are. When you are healthy and alive you can function with ease.
In Chiropractic we refer to this vibration as Innate Intelligence, the better this Intelligence is expressed the more alive we are! Interference with this expression is what we refer to as a vertebral subluxation (a spinal vertebrae out of alignment putting pressure on your nerves, reducing or stopping the flow of Intelligence in your body). The role of the Chiropractor is locate, analyse, and correct vertebral subluxations so that we can have more Innate Intelligence flowing through our body and have more life!

Life is necessarily the union of Intelligence and Matter.
Life is created by the union of two cells – a male cell and a female cell. These cells come together inside a mother and form the very first cell of a future human being. This cell is 100% life, anything this future human being is ever going to be is contained inside this cell. What coordinates this entire process? This is what Chiropractors refer to as Innate Intelligence – this is the intelligence that allows for every child to be born with 10 toes, 10 fingers, a functioning digestive system, the ability to breath, and everything necessary for life.
How do we define life? There are 5 signs of life; Assimilation - this is the ability of your body to take certain food materials in and use them for growth and maintenance. Excretion - Every healthy cell in your body produces waste that must be eliminated. Your body has specific pathways to detoxify and eliminate these waste materials. Adaptability - This is the ability of an organism to respond to all forces that come at it. Maintaining internal body temperature when you step outside on a cold day is an example of adaptability. Muscles growing in strength is an example of adapting to increasing physical stress. Failure of the body to adapt to stress leads to breakdown of tissue, sickness, and ultimately death. Growth - Defined as the ability to expand to maturity according to an intelligent plan. Every cell in your body acts according to this rule and follows specific parameters of growth in both amount and direction. Cellular undergrowth and overgrowth suggests lack of coordination within the body. Reproduction - Every living organism has two primal functions…survive and reproduce. Reproduction is essential for the body to replace injured and sick cells and tissues. In order for the body to heal, it needs to eliminate the sick cells, and replace them with healthy cells so that 100% health can occur.
Life cannot exist without an intelligence that governs all of these processes, life also cannot exist without matter in the form of a physical body. When there is lack of unity between intelligence and matter, this is what Chiropractors refer to as a vertebral subluxation. A subluxation interferes with the ability of Innate Intelligence (life) to be expressed in the body (matter), resulting in dis-ease (not disease – lack of ease). The body will lack the ability to adapt, it lacks harmony, it lacks the ability to regulate its functions. The role of the Chiropractor is locate, analyse, and correct vertebral subluxations so that we can have more Innate Intelligence flowing through our body and have more life!
-
Life is a triunity having three necessary uniting factors, namely, Intelligence, Force, and Matter.
The 5 signs of life are Assimilation, Excretion, Adaptability, Growth, and Reproduction.
Life is united by 3 factors – Intelligence, Matter and Force.
Intelligence being the power that exists in all living things, it is the invisible force that connects and balances everything in our bodies. The human body has countless physiological functions that all work in an organised manner to help our bodies adapt to our external/internal environment (Innate Intelligence).
Matter being anything we can physically see, or touch.
Force is the messenger that instructs the matter on what to do. In the human body, the brain (Innate Intelligence) sends the messages (force), to all your body parts (matter). For any of these body parts to work properly we need to have an adequate amount of flow of these messages.
When we have Subluxations, these messages aren’t sent correctly from our brain to our body parts. Which means that our Innate Intelligence can’t express the force through the matter to function optimally, meaning we have less life being expressed. The role of the Chiropractor is to locate, analyse, and correct Vertebral Subluxations so that we can have more Innate Intelligence flowing through our body and have more life!
-
In order to have 100% Life, there must be 100% Intelligence, 100% Force, 100% Matter.
In our previous posts we have touched on what life is. The 5 signs of life are being connected by Intelligence, Force, and Matter.
In order for our body to function as well as it could, there must be 100% Intelligence, 100% Force, and 100% Matter. The Innate Intelligence in our body is always 100%, however, the expression of this intelligence can be less. This expression is lessened by the Vertebral Subluxations – which are the interferences in your nervous system.
By removing these Subluxations your body is free to express 100% Intelligence, 100% Force, and 100% Matter. When this triune is in perfection you can self-heal, self-coordinate, and self-regulate!

There is no process that does not require time.
How we spend our time is dictated mostly by our habits: wake up, eat breakfast, go to work, go to the gym, watch tv, and go to bed. Our habits shape our life, over years of repetition - understanding this is important to receive the full benefits of chiropractic care.
Vertebral Subluxations (misalignments of the spine that are interfering with the expression of our nervous system) are the result of physical stress (repetitive movements, injuries, or accidents) mental stress (anxiety or depression), and chemical stress (air pollutants, chemicals, etc).
We know these stressors are very common and happen to everyone on an ongoing basis. Subluxations cause damage over time, the longer they are present the more accumulative negative impacts they have. Having a Subluxation for a year is worse than having a Subluxation for a week. When people adopt a weekly habit of correcting their Subluxations this results in more expression of their health and ultimately their life!
The quality of our lives is the result of every choice we have made. Our choices become habits, and our habits make our life. The better choices we make, the better our habits become, and the healthier and happier we are. All of this, requires time and repetition, going to the gym only on the weekends is better than doing nothing at all, eating healthy food sometimes is better than not eating healthy food at all, having your spine checked and adjusted once a year is better than never… However, being consistent in all these areas, doing them regularly, on a regular basis is going to dramatically improve your life for the better.
Think of Chiropractic as another good habit that you can incorporate into your life. Your Chiropractor is an expert at locating, analysing, and correcting the Subluxations so that you get to enjoy your life to the fullest!
There is no process that does not require time, but isn’t it worth it in the end?

In order for our body to be perfectly organised, there needs to be a ‘captain’ that 100% manages the entire body.
Every single human being has an intelligence within them, that organises and guides the matter (cells, tissues, and organs) toward a state of harmony or equilibrium. For example, if you cut your finger, and put a band-aid on it, it will heal and be replaced with new skin. Your body is self-healing, self-coordinating, and self-functioning.
Every second of our life, our body is working on getting rid of the weak dying cells and replenishing them with new healthy ones. It is always coordinating the trillions of cells to work in a state of organisation within the entire body. All of this is happening under the guidance of the ‘captain’ or Innate Intelligence.
The amount of intelligence is always 100%, proportional to its requirements. For example, when you experience hypothermia your body will direct the blood from your arms and legs to your vital organs, such as the heart and lungs to keep us alive as long as possible. By changing what our body needs in that instance, it changes the requirements of Innate Intelligence – it is still 100%, but it changes where it's needed.
When there is interference (Subluxations) to the expression of Innate Intelligence, our body is less able to adapt adequately to the environment. Making us more susceptible to dis-ease, not disease, but a lack of coordination and function. Our body will not be able to adapt to the environment as well as it otherwise could.
The job of the Chiropractor is to locate, analyse, and correct Vertebral Subluxations to allow each individual to express as much of our human potential as possible.

The primary role of intelligence, encompassing both universal and innate intelligence, is to generate the forces essential for sustaining organisation and function within all matter. This creation of force is fundamental to the continuous preservation of the properties and actions of matter, enabling a harmonious interaction between intelligence, force, and matter in living organisms and throughout the universe.
Universal intelligence is the overarching intelligence that governs the order and laws of the universe, ensuring that all matter operates according to natural laws. It is responsible for the innate harmony and balance seen in nature and the rest of the universe.
Innate intelligence, on the other hand, refers to the inherent wisdom within living beings that regulates the body’s functions and promotes health. It is the body's self-healing and self-regulating ability, which operates through the nervous system to ensure that all parts of the body communicate effectively and work in unison.
The force created by these intelligences facilitates the transmission of vital information and energy needed for the body's adaptive responses to internal and external environments. This interaction is crucial for maintaining homeostasis, supporting growth, and enabling the healing processes.
The job of the Chiropractor is to ensure that this flow of force is unobstructed, this is the key to health. Misalignments (subluxations), can interfere with the body's innate intelligence, leading to dysfunction and dis-ease (lack of ease). Chiropractic care corrects these misalignments, thereby restoring the natural flow of force (information/ intelligence) and supporting the body's inherent ability to maintain balance and well-being.
By acknowledging and supporting the roles of universal and innate intelligence, chiropractic care emphasises the interconnectedness of all life and the importance of maintaining the integrity of the nervous system to foster health and harmony within the body and the universe.
-
Universal Intelligence ensures that every piece of matter has exactly the amount of intelligence it needs (100%) to fulfill its purpose. This intelligence is proportional to the needs of the matter, whether it's the cells in your body or the stars in the sky.
Universal Intelligence governs everything, maintaining balance and order in the universe. In living beings, this intelligence is expressed as Innate Intelligence, which controls and coordinates all bodily functions. It ensures that every cell, tissue, and organ works together harmoniously, sustaining health and vitality.
Chiropractic care recognizes and honors this principle. When vertebral subluxations disrupt the flow of Innate Intelligence within the body, the natural communication pathways are blocked, leading to dysfunction and dis-ease. Through chiropractic adjustments, these interferences are removed, allowing the body to heal, adapt, and thrive as it was designed to do.
By understanding and applying this principle, chiropractic care not only supports the physical health of the individual but also respects the inherent wisdom of the universe, we encourage harmony and balance in both body and mind.
-
The function of force is to unite intelligence and matter. This principle highlights the essential role of force as the bridge that connects Universal and Innate Intelligence to the material world.
Universal Intelligence governs the universe and generates the forces that guide all matter, ensuring it functions according to natural laws. In living beings, Innate Intelligence uses these forces to regulate bodily functions, maintain health, and adapt to changes.
Chiropractic care acknowledges that when the forces within the body are obstructed by vertebral subluxations, the connection between Innate Intelligence and matter is compromised. This disruption can lead to dysfunction and a lack of harmony within the body. By correcting these misalignments, chiropractic care restores the proper flow of force, allowing the body to function optimally and express its full potential.
Understanding this principle reminds us of the importance of maintaining an unobstructed flow of force, ensuring that intelligence and matter work together seamlessly to support life, health, and well-being.
-
"The forces of Universal Intelligence are manifested by physical laws; are unswerving and unadapted, and have no solicitude for the structures in which they work." This principle emphasizes that the forces governing the universe, created by Universal Intelligence, operate with absolute precision and consistency, following natural laws without deviation.
These universal forces are essential for maintaining order and balance in the universe. However, while they are perfect and consistent, they are not tailored to the specific needs of living beings. This is where Innate Intelligence plays a crucial role. It takes these universal forces and adapts them to the needs of the body, ensuring that they support health and vitality.
Chiropractic care recognizes the importance of this adaptation process. Subluxations can interfere with the body's ability to adapt these universal forces, leading to dysfunction and dis-ease. Through chiropractic adjustments, we help restore the body's ability to adapt these forces correctly, maintaining the harmony and balance essential for health.
Understanding the intricate balance between universal forces and the body's adaptive mechanisms, reinforcing the importance of chiropractic care in maintaining that balance.
-
There can be interference with the transmission of Innate forces." This principle highlights the idea that while Innate Intelligence operates perfectly within the body, its ability to transmit necessary forces can be disrupted by interference, primarily through subluxations in the spine.
When a subluxation occurs, it hinders the body’s natural communication pathways, disrupting the flow of vital information between the brain and the rest of the body. This interference can lead to dysfunction, decreased adaptability, and a decline in overall health.
Chiropractic care focuses on identifying and correcting these subluxations, thereby restoring the unimpeded transmission of Innate forces. By doing so, chiropractic care ensures that the body’s Innate Intelligence can express itself fully, maintaining the harmony and balance essential for optimal health and well-being.
-
Matter in the body exists to express the forces acting upon it. Whether it’s physical, mental, or chemical, these forces shape how the body functions. The clearer the expression of these forces, the better the body can function at its innate potential. When interference occurs, such as spinal misalignments, the body’s ability to express force is compromised, affecting overall health. Chiropractic care removes interference, allowing matter to fulfill its natural role in expressing these forces fully and effectively.
-
Life is sustained by the continuous flow of universal forces that maintain order and harmony in the body. These forces govern the function of every cell, tissue, and organ. When they flow freely and without interference, the body operates at its highest potential. However, when blockages, such as spinal misalignments, disrupt this flow, the body's natural ability to heal and thrive is diminished. Chiropractic care works to restore the clear expression of these universal forces, allowing the body to function as it was designed to, in full alignment with its innate intelligence.
-
For life to exist, there must be a connection between intelligence and matter. Innate intelligence governs every function in the body, but it requires matter—cells, tissues, and organs—to express itself. When this connection is clear, the body operates in perfect harmony. However, misalignments in the spine can interfere with this union, disrupting communication between the brain and body. Chiropractic care ensures that this vital connection remains intact, allowing the body to express life fully through the proper union of intelligence and matter.
-
Intelligence is present in both organic (living) and inorganic (non-living) matter, though it manifests differently. In organic matter, such as the human body, intelligence guides growth, healing, and function. In inorganic matter, intelligence governs stability and structure. For optimal health, the innate intelligence within organic matter must function without interference. Misalignments or blockages in the spine can disrupt this expression, affecting overall well-being. Chiropractic care aims to restore clear communication, allowing the body's innate intelligence to function fully and harmoniously, as intended by nature.
-
Every effect has a cause, and every cause produces an effect. In the body, the alignment and function of the spine (the cause) have a direct impact on overall health and well-being (the effect). When the spine is misaligned or interfered with, it can cause a range of health issues, disrupting the body’s natural balance and function. Chiropractic care focuses on correcting these misalignments to restore proper function and allow the body to express health more fully. By understanding and addressing the causes, we can influence positive effects on the body’s overall state of health.
-
Life is evident through the presence of organized function and adaptation. The hallmark of life is its ability to grow, repair, and adapt to changes. In the body, this evidence is seen in the body's complex organization and its responsive actions to internal and external stimuli. When there is interference, such as from spinal misalignments, these signs of life can be diminished. Chiropractic care helps restore clear communication within the body, allowing the natural evidence of life—growth, healing, and adaptability—to be fully expressed.
-
Organic matter, such as the human body, is characterized by its ability to grow, heal, and adapt. This vitality is guided by innate intelligence, which orchestrates the body’s functions and responses. The proper expression of life in organic matter depends on the clear and unobstructed flow of this intelligence. When spinal misalignments or interferences occur, they can disrupt this flow, affecting the body's ability to function and heal. Chiropractic care focuses on removing these interferences, allowing the innate intelligence to fully express itself and maintain the health and vitality of the organic matter.
-
Innate intelligence is the life force within all living beings, guiding and maintaining their functions and health. This intelligence is responsible for the body's growth, repair, and adaptation to its environment. For innate intelligence to function optimally, there must be clear communication between the brain and the body through the nervous system. When spinal misalignments or interferences disrupt this communication, the expression of innate intelligence can be compromised, impacting overall health. Chiropractic care seeks to restore this clear communication, ensuring that innate intelligence can fully govern and support the body's well-being.
-
The mission of innate intelligence is to maintain the body's health by coordinating all its functions. It ensures that every cell, tissue, and organ works in harmony, adapting to changes and healing when necessary. For innate intelligence to achieve its mission, it requires an uninterrupted flow of communication between the brain and body through the nervous system. Spinal misalignments can interfere with this flow, hindering the body's ability to function properly. Chiropractic care removes these interferences, allowing innate intelligence to carry out its mission of preserving health and balance in the body.
-
Every living being is endowed with 100% of the innate intelligence necessary for life. This intelligence is always present and fully capable of guiding the body’s functions, from healing to adaptation. However, its expression depends on clear communication through the nervous system. When misalignments in the spine create interference, the body’s ability to express this innate intelligence can be compromised. Chiropractic care helps to remove these blockages, ensuring that the body can fully utilize the innate intelligence it has been given, allowing it to thrive and function as nature intended.
-
The function of innate intelligence is to maintain the body’s health and harmony by controlling and coordinating all functions. It ensures that every part of the body works together as a unified whole, adapting to changes and promoting healing when needed. For innate intelligence to fulfill this role, it must communicate without interference through the nervous system. Spinal misalignments can disrupt this communication, diminishing the body’s ability to function optimally. Chiropractic care focuses on restoring this communication, allowing innate intelligence to perform its essential function of preserving health and balance.
-
The body’s ability to adapt to changes and stressors is guided by innate intelligence, but there are limits to how much it can handle. While innate intelligence works constantly to maintain balance and health, extreme physical, chemical, or emotional stress can exceed the body’s capacity to adapt. When these limits are reached, the body’s function and health may begin to decline. Chiropractic care helps to remove interferences, like spinal misalignments, allowing the body to better adapt to its environment and stay within its natural limits of adaptation, supporting overall well-being.
-
The forces created by innate intelligence are always constructive, working to preserve and enhance the body’s health. These innate forces guide every function, from healing injuries to maintaining balance in the body. For these forces to express themselves fully, they must travel without interference through the nervous system. When spinal misalignments disrupt the transmission of these forces, the body’s ability to heal and function is compromised. Chiropractic care ensures that the innate forces can flow freely, allowing the body to operate in harmony with its innate intelligence.
-
Universal forces are the external energies that act upon all matter, often causing change or disruption, while innate forces are the internal energies that work within living beings to maintain health and harmony. Universal forces, like gravity or environmental stress, can be destructive if not properly adapted to, but innate forces work constructively to keep the body functioning in balance. When misalignments in the spine occur, they can disrupt the body's ability to adapt to universal forces, limiting the expression of innate intelligence. Chiropractic care removes these interferences, ensuring that the body can respond to external forces effectively while maintaining internal harmony through innate forces.
-
Innate intelligence always functions perfectly within the body, working constantly to maintain health, balance, and proper function. It is never flawed or diminished—it operates at 100% at all times. However, its expression can be hindered by interference in the nervous system, such as spinal misalignments. These interferences prevent the body from fully responding to and adapting to the environment, leading to dysfunction. Chiropractic care removes these interferences, allowing the innate intelligence to express itself fully and maintain the body’s natural state of normality and health.
-
The forces generated by innate intelligence are transmitted through the nervous system, which acts as the body's communication network. These innate forces travel along the nerves, guiding and coordinating the body’s functions to maintain health and balance. When the spine is misaligned, this transmission can be disrupted, leading to interference in the body’s ability to heal and function properly. Chiropractic care focuses on correcting these misalignments, ensuring that the nervous system can conduct innate forces clearly and without interference, allowing the body to function at its full potential.
-
Interference with the transmission of innate forces occurs when disruptions in the nervous system—such as spinal misalignments or subluxations—block or distort the communication between the brain and the body. These interferences prevent innate intelligence from effectively guiding and coordinating the body’s functions, leading to diminished health and well-being. Chiropractic care aims to identify and correct these disruptions, restoring clear transmission and allowing innate forces to flow freely, enabling the body to heal and function as it was designed to.
-
Dis-ease (lack of ease), or a state of imbalance and poor health, is often caused by interference in the body’s innate intelligence and its communication systems. This interference can result from spinal misalignments, physical stress, emotional strain, or toxic exposure, which disrupt the normal flow of innate forces. When the body’s ability to adapt and function is compromised, it manifests as various symptoms of dis-ease. Chiropractic care addresses these interferences by restoring proper spinal alignment and nervous system function, helping to resolve the underlying causes of dis-ease and promoting overall health and balance.
-
Subluxations are misalignments of the vertebrae in the spine that interfere with the normal transmission of innate forces through the nervous system. These misalignments can disrupt the flow of communication between the brain and the body, affecting the body’s ability to function and heal properly. Subluxations can result from physical trauma, environmental toxins, emotional stress, or other factors. Chiropractic care focuses on identifying and correcting subluxations to restore proper alignment, clear interference, and allow the innate intelligence to flow freely, supporting the body’s natural healing processes and overall health.
-
Coordination refers to the harmonious functioning of all body parts under the guidance of innate intelligence. It ensures that every cell, tissue, and organ works together seamlessly to maintain health and balance. Proper spinal alignment is crucial for effective coordination, as it allows the nervous system to communicate clearly and efficiently. Interferences, such as subluxations, can disrupt this coordination, leading to dysfunction and dis-ease. Chiropractic care aims to restore coordination by correcting misalignments, thereby enabling the innate intelligence to guide the body’s functions in a well-orchestrated manner.
-
The Law of Demand and Supply states that the body’s health and function are governed by the balance between the demands placed on it and the supply of innate forces available to meet those demands. When the demand for adaptation or healing exceeds the body’s ability to supply the necessary innate forces, health issues may arise. Conversely, when the supply of innate forces is sufficient and free from interference, the body can effectively meet its demands. Chiropractic care focuses on removing interferences, such as spinal misalignments, to ensure an optimal supply of innate forces, allowing the body to meet its demands efficiently and maintain overall health.
